In Uptown Charlotte yesterday, I came across this small door posted against one of the city’s tallest buildings. There was a QR code in the corner. I scanned it and found a Facebook page for the “Door Project.”
The person behind this project leaves a small door like this in every city he or she visits. Looks like there has been more than 40 doors placed.
According to the Facebook page there are doors in Atlanta, Nashville, Decatur, Queens, Washington DC & New York.
They noticed that when you rush through life you miss the small details. So they decided to create these handmade doors as a way to explore who notices them.
Looks like the project is still ongoing š
Anyone that knows me well knows I love the little details.
I also looked at these little doors as opportunities waiting to be opened.
This particular door was placed on a corporate building. Many of us know what’s it’s like to follow the norm of working a 9-5. The monotony is brutal at times. This little door can serve as tons of inspiration for all those that may see it walking into their offices.
It’s a small exit to the possible dreams we may have.
