Launching early next year, Natural High was able to catch up with Brown Box founder Brittney Marshall to give us the scoop on what MBB is all about. 
1. We see you will be launching in early 2013. How exciting. Tell us about My Brown Box (i.e. where did the idea formulate/get started/what it is)
That’s right! You can expect for My BrownBox to launch in early Spring 2013. However, our team thinks that we should do a surprise launch…I love surprises, so I suggest that everyone signs up to be notified when we officially launch.
For those who haven’t yet gotten in on the buzz surrounding My BrownBox, we are the woman of color’s guide to discover all things beauty, lifestyle and luxury. Each month we send our members a chic box containing 5-6 beauty and lifestyle products that complement their natural beauty and personal style.
My BrownBox formulated from my love affair with fashion, beauty and the desire to create a welcoming community where women of color connect, inspire and inform one another. I find that My BrownBox is doing just those things, and I couldn’t be happier about the progress that has been made since God gave me the My BB vision.
2. What is your definition of a Product Junkie?
Haha. Good question. My definition of a Product Junkie is someone who cannot resist the urge to purchase the latest and greatest beauty products; even with they have a cosmetic pantry full of unopened products. The My BrownBox team is full of Product Junkies. We love to discover beauty & lifestyle products from well-known brands as well as emerging gems, just ask our Beauty Editor.
3. What products will your services provide? And what type of products do you look for?
My BrownBox is more than a service. It’s a lifestyle. For that reason we will provide Brown Beauties with products that they can use on an every day basis. We span categories of makeup, skincare, nail care, body care, fragrances, grooming tools and other lifestyle goods. We look for products that will make our Brown Beauties smile when unboxing their monthly surprise. We want to create the excitement that one has when receiving a birthday present. Consider this as having a birthday celebration every month!
4. What are some of your favorite products or type of products you love?
I absolutely love body butters and lip moisturizers. I have this habit where I apply lip moisturizer before going to bed each night, most nights I use Shea butter. I also love to smell good, so I never leave the house without spraying a little body spray or perfume on my pulse points, preferably fruity or oceanic scents.
5. Explain to us about your referral program?

6. Will you be delivering internationally?
Early on we will only ship to the United States, its territories, and APO boxes, however it is in our plans to expand so that we can deliver My BrownBox goodness to Brown Beauties across the globe.
