Steel Magnolia’s Remake with an All-Black Cast Update

In October of 2011,  Lifetime announced they were remaking of “Steel Magnolia’s.   I was so excited! To say the least.    The original made its debut in 1989 with an All Star cast including Dolly Parton, Sally Field, Shirley Maclaine, Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis and Julia Roberts. 

I’m trying to think back to when I saw it for the first time.  Honestly, I don’t remember, but I do remember it being a movie I could watch over and over again.    The heartfelt bond that is shown throughout the film shows that family and friends are truly important.

          Now, the remake will feature an All-Black cast.  How amazing is this? So here is the line up. . . . . .

 

 

Since the announcement,  I have been patiently waiting on an air date.

 

Well, I don’t have an air date yet, but I have the trailer. Yayyyy!
